Avoiding Karma Revisited – 49
Seeking favour with another is a form of collusion and results in expectation of personal benefit from the favour. When one seeks favour one is ALWAYS looking for some sort of reward as a result of the favour, which when not given, results in disappointment and negative thought processes and feelings of betrayal. When one requires and receives favour one is in “Favour Debt” to the person giving the favour. This results in negative anticipation of what the requested favour might be, and whether one can support such a request to the expectations of the requester. The returned favour is always greater than that initially given.
One should therefore not seek favour, but should give freely, as a gift, that which is requested, expecting nothing in return, except God’s love as reward of recognition of such a potential karmic loop – now broken.
