If so, why do humans have a nervous system that feels pain and pressure acutely, when we are being tortured, raped or killed, as is happening in Ukraine? It’s a false equivalence to say we are atoms, when atoms don’t feel pain, but we do, bercause we are biological organisms. Why does God allow us to suffer, when there is no need for such suffering for us to evolve? This seems like cruel and unusual punishment by a God, who is oblivious to it all.
